The sales of the books above are okay… but I think they are not stellar because of the titles, size and price… that and Wiki is just now coming into the lime light. Let me know your thoughts…
The Wiki Way: Collaboration and Sharing on the Internet - 020171499X, 440 pages, 49.95, Addison-Wesley?, (April 2001).
This is one of the earliest books on this topic, but it is almost 5 years old now. The content is aimed at developers and IT professionals, since they would have been the primary audience at that time. Since then, however, the number, variety, and range available tools have all increased, and wikis can now be implemented by almost anyone. Our book will include the newer types of wiki platforms, and will be written for managers and end-users, not developers.
Wiki : Web Collaboration – 3540259953, 383 pages, 64.95, Springer (October 2005)
This October printing is actually a translation of a German book entitled "WikiTools - Kooperation im Web" (also from Springer). Though closer to our proposed book in terms of intended audience, this book focuses primarily on Twiki and MediaWiki? implementations, while ours will not be limited to these two options.
